Chansit Ablelou

DOB: 22/9/1994 Height: 15hh

Campdrafting ability, stock sense, agility and companionship all come in Ablelou's blood - his sire Quidong Able had 98 campdraft wins and sired many remarkable horses. His grandsire Abdul (who needs no introduction) is well known for his career in campdrafting, including winning the 1974 Warwick Gold Cup & the World Cup Expo in 1975.

On his dams side Fieldon Marylou won an impressive 86 campdrafts in only 5 years. Marylou has a double cross of "Little River" - whose dam "Rivette" won the Melbourne Cup in 1939. Nothing like a little speed on your side.....

Ablelou has won 19 campdrafts in total to date, including 1 Maiden, 3 Novices, 6 Opens and 9 Ladies Drafts. He is always consistent giving 110%, and along with this wins he has had numerous placings. He has only been lightly campaigned over the years due to working commitments (both droving and the purchase of our farm).

Ablelou (Boo) is part of the family, he is extremely quiet to ride, has a natural ability to read cattle and has been a joy to educate. He is a horse that enjoys being ridden although he has never needed much work to maintain his easy going manner.
